The Palatinate-based non-profit organization SALUTE, INC. is hosting an online auction and one-day pop-up art gallery to raise funds for soldiers and soldiers and their families.
The artwork on display is the work of artist Nancy McIlvaine (1926-2020) who is an international interior designer, gallery owner, photographer and beloved board member of SALUTE, INC. was.
The current online auction will run until Saturday, June 26th. All artwork is available online throughout the week and in the pop-up gallery from 11am to 9pm on June 26th in downtown Arlington Heights on S. Evergreen Ave.
The event is sponsored by Drost, Kivlahan, McMahon and O’Connor, LLC, Picket Fence Realty and Arlington Town Square.
“Our featured artist has been an important person in the SALUTE family for many years and we are honored to represent this beautiful collection of photographs to raise funds to support our mission,” said Mary Beth Beiersdorf, Managing Director of SALUTE, INC.
“She played an essential role in helping SALUTE serve veterans and their families in a time of need, and we are honored that she has left us this beautiful collection of photos to continue to raise funds for our mission support.”
After registering for this unique event, community members can bid on the artwork online and view it in person on June 26th. The presented photographs are part of a collection called “As Eye See It” and focus on a tiny piece of a subject. The whole subject is left to the imagination of the viewer. Each artwork is displayed in a custom frame.
All proceeds from the event will be used for SALUTE’s veteran aid programs.
