Meghan Markle has ‘disappeared’ with a photographer during her visit to Rwanda, a royal expert claims

Prince Harry’s lover Meghan Markle took a “suitcase full of outfits” on a trip to Rwanda in 2016 and “disappeared” with a photographer, a royal expert has claimed.

The former Suits star visited Rwanda to shoot a commercial for World Vision Canada. The charity worked to promote well construction in the Central East African country.

Tom Bower claims in his new biography that the Duchess flew to Rwanda in first class with a personal hair and makeup artist in tow, as well as fashion photographer Gabor Jurina.

In Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors, he writes how the producer who was supposed to be traveling on the trip, Brenda Surminski, was unable to join the group.

When Ms. Surminski was unable to travel to Rwanda, she was replaced by a Canadian cameraman. The author claimed the Duchess of Sussex “disappeared” with Mr Jurina for a photoshoot with a number of children after filming them at a water tap.

He: “In the end, Surminski was at a loss.

The expert continues: “For hours, Jurina photographed the perfectly coiffed actress as she hugged, squeezed and smiled at village children.”

Bower claimed Surminski only spent “30 minutes” speaking to Meghan before the Duchess agreed to a collaboration project.

World Vision described the trip on its website as Meghan “helping bring hope to the communities.”

The charity continued: “The Duchess of Sussex attended a school in Rwanda shortly after becoming a World Vision Ambassador in 2016. Meghan helped bring clean water to a community thanks to donations from ordinary people around the world. She was inspired by how this empowered women and girls in the community.”
