Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been a photographer?

Twenty years.

I started my photography career while working for my hometown newspaper back in 1992. I won my first award that year, and went back to school to get a university degree in photography.

How long have you been doing wedding photography?

I shot a few weddings while working at the newspaper, and I started my photography business in 2008. I began doing wedding photography exclusively in late 2009, and was selected as Arkansas Wedding Photographer of the Year for the first time in 2010.

How many weddings have you photographed?

By now I have lost count of the number of weddings I have photographed, but it’s somewhere above 50.

Do you give us our wedding photos on a disc?

YES. You should have an archival record of your images. I encourage you to get some other record of your day, such as a book, prints, canvases, or all of the above, because digital files aren’t indestructible, but you should have a backup record of your wedding photos.

Are the engagement photos and bridal photos included on the disc?

Yes.

Can I print my wedding photos from the disc?

YES. I give you a printing permission form that allows you to print your wedding photos for personal use. Please note that I cannot be responsible for the quality of images printed at non-recommended photo labs. Recommended lab is MPix.com.

Can I share my wedding pictures on Facebook or other social media sites?

Yes. If you want to upload your wedding pictures to Facebook, let me know, and I will create a folder on your disc of files sized and watermarked for Facebook. I request you use the watermarked files, because image theft is rampant, and I don’t want your likenesses appearing in an ad for Japanese “marital aid” products or something crazy like that.

When do I get the disc with my wedding photos?

You get your disc when I deliver your album, usually two to three months after the wedding.

Can I remove things from the wedding packages?

Items can be removed from the packages, but please note that it will not be at the full a la carte price. If you add up the a la carte pricing, you will see a substantial discount in the package pricing. I subtract the discounted price when removing items from the package.

Can I add something to the wedding package?

You can always upgrade your wedding package or add items that are not included.

Can I get some digital files from the engagement session for my Save the Date cards?

I provide quality Save the Date cards priced at almost no mark-up for my couples, and Save the Date magnets at a very competitive price. These are custom designed and do not go to the printer until you have approved them! Because I want you to have a quality product for your wedding, I do not provide the digital files for you to take to an inferior printing service such as VistaPrint. However, if you are using a quality local printing service for invitations and Save the Date cards, I will be happy to send the files directly to them at whatever resolution they require.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is 20 percent of the wedding photography package price.

When do we pay the balance?

The balance is due one month before the wedding. You may also split the balance into two, three, or four payments, depending on your wedding package.
