I’m finally reviving the “Seen at the Bridal Fair” posts that have been so popular in the past.
Though some people find bridal fairs overwhelming and stressful, they can also be great for a few reasons. First, they can be a good way to keep up with wedding trends, or discover new trends. They can also help you spot the trends that aren’t “you” or that you feel may be overdone. They can give you ideas and inspiration. And, of course, they can give you a chance to meet vendors face to face.
Lately, one of my favorite things to do at the bridal shows has been trend spotting. One of the big wedding trends in the last couple of years has been the use of the printed page:
At Along for the Bride‘s booth this trend was in evidence with both paper flowers and the paper decorations hanging from the ceiling.
As a book lover, I confess to being of two minds about this trend. I love the look of the printed word! I’m also not sure that I would be willing to take apart a book in order to do this. Then again, there are some really awful books being published all the time. I promise; I have read a few!
