We were watching the weather closely in the days before Justine and Eduardo’s engagement session. They won second place in my “She Said Yes” contest in February, and they were driving down from northwest Arkansas for their engagement photos.
The day of the session, Justine called me to see how I thought the weather would hold up, and left a voice mail. I checked the weather and it was cloudy, but seemed to be clearing. I called her back and they had already started for Little Rock, so we decided to trust that the weather would hold.
As the hour of the engagement session neared, bad weather was moving in from the southwest. We moved up the time and I dug out my big golf umbrellas. We met in the River Market pavilion, where I knew there would be plenty of places to go if we had to seek shelter.
Despite the turn in the weather, we had a fun session. There are definite advantages to rain, like getting to snuggle under umbrellas.
Justine and Eduardo are planning a 2013 wedding. I foresee many sunny days ahead … and that if it rains, they will be able to make the best of that as well!
