Engagement Session in Burns Park (and Argenta): Whitney and Kirk

It’s no secret that I love engagement sessions. But for a lot of guys, the last thing they want to do is to spend more than an hour just having their picture taken. I gather Kirk was willing, for Whitney’s sake … but not exactly thrilled.

But there’s a secret to these: we have fun. For the most part, we are talking, you are talking to your sweetie, snuggling up, kissing. I’m certainly not posing you, twisting you around in different ways, and saying, “No, no, like THIS” a thousand times. Mostly I’m trying to get you to laugh, to enjoy each other’s company, and maybe to notice what you love and admire about this person you are planning to spend your life with.

Whitney tells me Kirk may have enjoyed himself … a little.

    Very nice….can’t wait to see all of their pictures. Love the spontaneity in most of these. I know Whit is no stranger to pictures and, for a guy that doesn’t like the camera, Kirk’s pictures sure turned out well!

      Ah! I LOVE the one of ya’ll over the bridge with your leg in the air and I really like the ones where you are laughing. Very candid and sweet! You are a very photogenic couple – can’t wait to see the wedding pics!

    I would say Kirk loosened up considerably and both enjoyed it! My favorite photo is the next-to-last one with the romantic “blue bubble” background.
