If you are a fan of The Wedding Post, Arkansas’ newest blog for all things wedding, you have probably already seen some beautiful photos from Brittany and Joey’s wedding. I’ve kept a few of those in this blog post, but mostly I’ve chosen different ones: instead of showcasing details, here are some of my favorite moments from their July 30 wedding at Next Level Events.
Brittany and Joey had chances to meet, and didn’t, like a lot of couples I’ve photographed. He had even been to her apartment, and she didn’t remember. They actually started dating after they met at a wedding, when she asked him the score of the Razorback game. Both members of the couple at whose wedding they met, were in Brittany and Joey’s wedding party!
Brittany found her garter on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/rosebudlips). I’ve seen some fabulous Etsy finds at weddings lately, and there will definitely be a blog post coming! This garter set combines something old, something new, and something blue to fulfill the well-known wedding day tradition.
Brittany got ready at The Capital Hotel, where the couple also spent the first night of their married life together. The rooms are beautiful, and it’s an amazing place to stay. Although the area where we usually take photos was closed off for a wedding (it’s a fabulous place to get married, especially if you feel like being waited on hand and foot!) we were able to snap some very quick bridal photos as Brittany made her way down the stairs and through the lobby, and waited for her ride to Next Level.
And I couldn’t resist another:
The flower chandelier (just typing the words makes me happy!)
At left, quite possibly my favorite photo of a bride that I’ve ever taken! And, right, I always like to get a photo of dad looking uncomfortable holding the flowers (it happens more often than you might think!)
The normal photos of the ceremony are pretty, thanks to the fabulous flowers, but I fell in love with the almost-silhouette (of the almost-kiss).
As you may know, I don’t usually post a lot of the formals, or posed group photos, but I really liked this moment between the bride and flower girl, and the fun photo of Joey and the bridesmaids!
Does Joey not just look like the happiest guy you’ve ever seen?
