Sarah and Justin had a beautiful wedding at Salem United Methodist Church in Conway, Arkansas, on June 11. I have been looking forward to this blog post, but yesterday I had one of those days. You know, the kind of day where there’s so much to be done, that nothing gets done! Between a commercial photo shoot and a meeting with a lovely couple from Pine Bluff, there didn’t seem to be any time left.
More on both of those things later (hopefully!) but for now back to Sarah and Justin. You probably remember this adorable couple from their engagement session, or if not, hopefully you recognize Sarah from the amazing photo that won Best Wedding Photo in the Arkansas Professional Photographer’s Association’s annual print competition.
Sarah was radiant as always, and Justin looked adorably nervous before the ceremony, and adorably relieved afterwards. But enough talk … I know you want to see!
And the first thing you would have seen if you were lucky enough to be invited to Sarah and Justin’s wedding was this invitation. Using one of the photos I took at our engagement session in Scott, Arkansas, Sarah’s friends at ECS Printing in Conway made this great photo invitation. Photos were printed on both sides of a 5×7 glossy card, and the company did such a beautiful job!
Sarah’s lace-colored dress was charming and perfect for her. It also came from one of my favorite stores: Jodie Marie’s Bridal in North Little Rock. It’s the same store where I got my wedding dress, and I have always found the staff there to be helpful and friendly in steering you towards your perfect dress (and not the most expensive one, either!)
It’s always fun to look for signs and words that tell what the wedding day is like, and what the couple is like. Check out this text message between Justin and Sarah, and the cute sign in front of their guest favors (drink koozies printed with their names and wedding date).
I’m a sucker for little girls twirling in their frilly pink dresses …
I’m also crazy about these beautiful and unusual bouquets by Mary Ann Kirksey, Sarah’s wedding coordinator, who also did a great job on the decorations inside the church’s reception hall (and outside on the trees and in the walkway as well!):
The couple had a candlelight ceremony with additional light coming from the church’s beautiful windows.
Doesn’t he just look relieved?
A couple more portraits: one from the church, and one from the after party at Michelangelo’s.
Then, on to the after-reception party at Michelangelo’s Restaurant!
