Arkansas has got to be Funny Groom’s Cake Central. Men are men here, and they want their groom’s cake to reflect that. And the groom’s cake is, I have learned, actually a Southern tradition, so naturally the best groom’s cakes come from the South. Unlike some other Southern wedding traditions, which seem to have faded over the years, the groom’s cake has come into its own and even spread to other regions of the country. Hey, it’s cool, it’s fun, it’s cake. What’s not to like?
But this one:

Groom's cake with toy gun that really smokes.
The camo icing. The chocolate covered strawberries (a feature of many groom’s cakes). The creative phrase, “The Hunt is Over.” The shell casings. It’s a great themed groom’s cake for the guy who loves to hunt. But the real centerpiece of the cake is the toy gun, which produced real smoke. This cake was a huge hit at Heidi and Cody’s wedding last October, and it has been a huge hit since among the many people to whom I have shown this picture. Every Mighty Hunter I know wants one (even the ones who don’t actually hunt).
I hear that it also tasted good.

Thank you for the advice. I’m going to apply it when I plan my wedding (which will likely be in February next year)
I am entering my 2nd yr in the professional photography field & I am discovering new things constantly, including this posting – thanks for this site. Jenn
